📖 Description

This 80-hour intensive course prepares candidates for the two practical Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) administered by the **Medical Council of Canada (MCC)**: the **National Assessment Collaboration OSCE (NAC OSCE)** for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and the **MCCQE Part II OSCE** for residents in Canada.

The NAC OSCE is a 12-station diagnostic test designed to assess IMGs' readiness to enter postgraduate training. It is a major component of the residency match process via **CaRMS R-1 main residency match** in IMG-only streams (Ontario, BC, Manitoba, Quebec). The MCCQE Part II OSCE, restructured in 2022, consists of 14 stations of 10 minutes each and is restricted to residents already in Canadian programs.

This course is designed for IMGs pursuing certification via the IMG pathway and for residents preparing for the LMCC certification. Coverage includes communication skills, history taking, physical examination by system, clinical reasoning, procedural skills, ethics and counselling, breaking bad news, and handover communication using the **SBAR** framework.

At the end of this program, learners will master all 12 NAC OSCE station types (data interpretation, history, physical, counselling, mixed) and the 14 MCCQE Part II stations. Each station is scored on a checklist + global rating scale. Pass rate for first-time NAC takers is ~70-75 % (MCC 2023).

Duration: 80 hours over 8-10 weeks, with two full simulated OSCEs (12-station mock + 14-station mock). Recommended companion resources: **NAC OSCE official MCC blueprint**, **Master the NAC OSCE Sherbrooke**, **AIPSO study materials**, **CaRMS Ontario IMG portal**.
