Équipe pédagogique ITAG…

📖 Description

This intensive 90-hour course prepares International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and Canadian Medical Graduates (CMGs) for the **Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE Part I)**, the first national licensing examination in Canada. The MCCQE Part I is administered by the **Medical Council of Canada (MCC)** and is a mandatory step for medical licensure in every Canadian province and territory.

This course is designed for residents and IMGs who have graduated from medical school and need to demonstrate readiness for supervised practice. It systematically covers all four MCC objective dimensions (Medical Expert, Communicator, Health Advocate, Professional) and the **CanMEDS framework** that underpins the exam blueprint.

At the end of this program, learners will master the structure of the **8-hour computer-based test (CBT)** with 235 MCQ in the morning and 70 Clinical Decision Making (CDM) cases in the afternoon. Coverage spans Medicine, Surgery, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Psychiatry, and Population Health & Ethics, with particular attention to Indigenous cultural safety as required since the 2022 blueprint update.

The MCCQE Part I consists of two sections: Part A (Multiple Choice Questions, 4 hours, 235 items) and Part B (Clinical Decision Making, 3.5 hours, ~70 CDM cases with short-menu and long-menu response formats). A standard-setting score around **226 (scaled)** is required to pass. The exam is offered in both English and French.

Duration: 90 hours over 10-12 weeks of intensive preparation, with two mock examinations (one mid-course practice and one final simulation). Recommended companion resources: **Toronto Notes**, **UpToDate**, **MCC CDM practice modules**, **CanadaQBank**, and **Canada Q-Bank by Sherbrooke**.
