Master the colours, shapes and meanings of every road sign category used by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
20 of the 40 G1 test questions are on road signs. Get them right and you're already halfway to a pass.
| Shape | Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Octagon | Red & white | STOP — full stop required |

| Square (regulatory) | Black on white | Speed limits, lane use, parking rules |
| Diamond | Yellow & black | Warning — hazard ahead (curve, bump, animal, etc.) |
| Diamond | Orange | Temporary condition — construction, detour |
| Pentagon | Yellow-green | School zone / crossing |
| Rectangle | Green | Direction / destination / distance |
